Manager, Faculty Operations
Provost/Exec VP Area
$52,825 annually or higher commensurate with experience
Reporting to the Executive Assistant in the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President, the Manager of Faculty Operations serves as the subject matter expert to develop and coordinate activities and programs. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: faculty appointment coordination, faculty database development and management, data review and reporting, offer letter process management, and coordination of intensive performance review processes. This position provides analysis and guidance for faculty-related processes, including but not limited to the search process, appointments, and reappointments while ensuring compliance with university policies. Working closely with and in concert with the Vice Provost for Faculty, this position is the primary contact for faculty appointment inquiries and has responsibility to partner with Human Resources, the Budget Office, and supervisors to manage faculty appointment processes. The manager is a member of the collaborative shared services staff team in the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President and contributes as an advisor, resource, and project assistant. The successful incumbent must be proactive, take initiative, be organized, efficiently responsive and able to analyze and respond to complex situations and tasks. Work and information handled is of a nature regularly requiring confidentiality and the exercise of discretion.
Bachelors degree in Business or in a related field and 3 years of experience or a combination of education and experience totaling 5 years. Experience should be full time, related to administrative, financial and/or human resource functions similar to the responsibilities listed above and demonstrate progressive responsibility/learning.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to act with tact and maintain confidentiality.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook and other similar programs such as Adobe.
Experience working in higher education.
Experience working on faculty appointments/issues strongly preferred.
Knowledge of state and human resources policies in higher education.
Knowledge of the Banner modules, People Admin, and advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
