Under the general direction of the Senior Associate Vice President for Advancement, the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations ("Director") is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major corporate and foundation prospects in support of priority programs and research efforts. The Director’s efforts will be focused on an assigned portfolio of schools/units, designated university initiatives, and cross-disciplinary projects as needed. The duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
In collaboration with university partners (faculty, administrators, university leadership), develop strategic, coordinated, long-term, multi-faceted relationships with major corporate and foundation prospects (both local and national/international) on behalf of the university
Devise and implement strategies for the cultivation and solicitation of corporate and foundation gifts at a minimum level of fifty thousand dollars (annual) or one-hundred thousand dollars (multi-year), including researching funding sources and preparing and submitting letters of intent, full grant proposals, budgets and post-award reports
Achieve annually identified visit, proposal and commitment goals in addition to other key metrics outlined in an annual performance program
Work proactively with UB faculty, staff, administration and advancement colleagues on the identification of fundable programmatic initiatives, and to advance priority programs
