Position Summary

The department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking a Director of Football Operations/Academic Liaison to coordinate all phases of the Football Program’s needs, and organizes team travel arrangements, as well as ensures that all Academic needs are being met with the Academic Services staff.

Responsibilities will include:
    • Assisting the Head Coach with game schedules and contacts team for potential games, and works towards balancing the number of home and away contests.
    • Organizing an Alumni event with appropriate units within the Athletic Department.
    • Directing and coordinating the Football program’s financial and budget matters in order to fund team activities, program operations and related functions.
    • Serving as the Football liaison with the Academic Services staff and the Football department, campus departments, alumni, and related parties
    • Developing, overseeing, and directing the Program’s promotional activities.
    • Responsible for the procurement and business facilities management, as well as analysis, development and maintenance of the Program’s travel budget, and other related business expenses.
    • Preparing budgets, as well as negotiate and enter into contracts and agreements with outside travel and meal vendors.
    • Analyzing ongoing operations to determine ability of reaching Program objectives, as well as determine areas of potential cost reduction and Program improvements and necessary policy changes.
    • Directing, planning and implementing policies, Program objectives and activities in order to ensure continuing operations and increase the team’s visibility in their respective Division

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Directly related experience required.
  • Demonstrable experience in sport team travel, budgeting, and scheduling required.
